Practice by question family

Explore picture, figure, word, and number reasoning lessons. Younger children can have an adult read directions aloud. Start untimed, ask the child to describe the rule, and stop before frustration builds.

Choose practice by grade

Kindergarten through Grade 8 have separate guides, and Grades 9–12 share a guide. Each points to the typical OLSAT level, the question families listed for that level, and a short practice session. See all grade guides or start the free level-based test.

Use the illustrated explanations

Every picture and figural practice item now includes an original question diagram, illustrated answer choices, and a visual answer view. Ask what changed, what stayed the same, and whether a rule works in every part of the item.
